Attachment updates

The important thing to understand about attachment is ... THE IS NO CURE.  And she keeps getting smarter.  And trying new things.

Today's new thing was actually smart.  But it was creative.  And it almost earned her an early bedtime.

We were in the grocery store.  Yes, the dreaded store.  And I was reprimanding her about every 3 seconds.  That is not really much of an exaggeration.  As I corrected one behavior she went to something else. 

Picking up all the produce.  Not picking a snack.  Running the cart into displays.  Walking away.  Not listening. 

The list goes on.  About half way through the store I stop and try to get control of the situation.

"Stop and look at me."
"Listen to me."
"Breathe."
"Do we need to leave?"
"Can you get control?"

And how did she respond?  Looked me square in the face.  Pretended to listen.  And crossed her eyes.

Seriously?

And she wasn't being funny.  Somehow she didn't realize I could see it.  Even though I was looking into her eyes.

Always something new.
