I woke up this morning. I did not open my eyes. Ladybug had crawled in bed with me. I made a decision. I was going to have a good day. Is it that simple? Let's hope.
After work/school (and at no point did I have a desire to reach up and slap mini boss today) I picked up Ladybug. She was happy to see me. She got up from the computer to greet me -- which she never does. I refused to engage in any negative talk with her. So she stopped trying.
We got home and began making dinner. WE! I cut fruit. She tossed the remnants. I got a bowl. She got food out of the fridge. She set the table. I poured drinks. The more I gave her to do, the more happy and giggling she got.
We ate dinner. She didn't complain. She laughed. She joked. She ate. I discovered she doesn't like blueberries. She put food back in the fridge. I did the dishes.
After dinner I sorted papers. She colored. She asked if she could learn to read. What???? She always resists them. And she did it. She read. Random words. But she read. And she got some right. Somehow "see" turned into "tease" but she got other words.
She resisted a shower. But she cuddled on my lap. She resisted lotion. But she picked a good book. She didn't stay in bed. But she stayed upstairs.
The demon has left my daughter's body and has been replaced by a nice person. Oh please let it stay this way. Please. Please. Please.
