P2 is done

The diet is over!!! Well... kind of. I have decided to end P2. No more starvation. P3 is 3 weeks long. I get to consume about 2000 calories a day but no starches and no sugars. Fats are fine. But I must keep my weight within 2 pounds of my weight this morning. The P4 is 3 weeks long. I get to consume 2000 calories and anything goes -- until I find out it makes me gain weight. So I will be ready for starvation mode by mid August.

Just a reminder -- this is where I started on April 20th.
Since then I have lost 24 pounds. I had hoped for 40, was willing to settle for 30, and extremely happy with 24. Let's be realistic, 24 pounds is more then I have lost in a long time. I have also lost over 26 inches. I think it is more but when I started I didn't think to measure places like arms and legs. And the good news is that most of the inches have disappeared from my waist and thighs. I went from squeezing myself into a size 26 to fitting into some of my old 22. Who would have thought I would be thrilled with being a size 22?

And this was the photo (okay realistically it took Ladybug about 12 photos before we got this one -- maybe she won't be a photographer after all)


Some extra benefits include:
I can get myself off the floor without needing a crane
I can fit in the tub for the detox baths
my knees no longer hurt when I go up and down stairs
my feet don't hurt 1/2 the mornings I feel completely hydrated on a regular basis
I am now at the exact weight I was at 4 years ago when Ladybug came home
And I have faith that this is not the end of my weight loss

And this time I don't care if anybody can see the difference (which is good because not 1 person has noticed any weight loss) because I can feel it.

Food for the summer... starvation returns this fall.

  1. Woohoo!! You are moving right along! I'm only down 20, but I still feel more happy and know I CAN DO THIS! So can you! Go Mean Mama!
